Today I'm sick. If I was a small child I wouldn't send me to school. I'm about to go to bed and sleep the sleep of the comatose. I've been reading Douglas Moo on Romans 12-16 and it has helped me focus on what Paul is saying. But come on Douglas, if Romans 12 is not directly and specifically addressed to the local assembly (as opposed to all the Christians in the city of Rome) then what's the use of it? I mean, if you have the gift of 'presiding', how are you going to preside unless people actual turn up to your meeting to be presided over. Get real.
Random thoughts. I wonder if while I'm sleeping I dream up some brilliant thoughts about these chapters, whether Tony will let me count that as work time? James Watson, dreamed and cracked the mystery of the double-helix structure of DNA...got a Nobel prize...Hmm...I've got to think !
Meanwhile, I notice that in Romans 1:5 and Romans 16:26 Paul states that God's intention is to bring about the obedience of faith. I figure that theologizing that doesn't produce this is not worth spitting on; unfortunately that is quite a lot, but at least you save on spit.

Hope you're feeling better. One of the old lady's in the church swears by Stone's Green Ginger Wine as the best medicine. But then she hasn't been well for decades so that's no recommendation.
I think you've passed it on to me. Where's that bottle gone...?
Hmm... why did I spell ladies as lady's? Where has my brain gone?
Prayers that you're feeling better soon; God bless.
