Solzhenitsyn had a strong Christian faith and has now gone to meet his Lord and Saviour.
His short book, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch, is a picture of life in the Soviet gulag with a wonderful testimony of faith from one of the prisoners, a Baptist pastor. An easy way into Solzhenitsyn's writings.
