"There seems to be something very wrong here."

That is from a book called 21st Century Living...1st century wisdom.

It is in answer to the question "Is it morally outrageous that God inflicted punishment on an innocent victim?"

"If vain spending of time, idleness, unprofitableness in men's places, envy, strife, variance, emulations, wrath, pride, worldliness, selfishness (1 Corinthians 1) be badges of Christians, we have them on us and among us in abundance."

Taken from "The Mortification of Sin in Believers"By John Owen in the volume edited by Kapic and Taylor titled "Overcoming sin and Temptation"

"So the woman took the baby and nursed him."

From Exodus chapter 2v9. It was the closest book, a near run thing with the Sunday Services book. That would have been:
"Drink this, remembering that Christ's blood was shed for you, and be thankful."
GO figure?

"Repetition is sufficiently important to merit special attention."

"Repetition is sufficiently important to merit special attention."

There I have put it into practice. Comes from the uninspiring ... Martin Kessler, 'The Battle of the Gods: The God of Israel Versus Marduk of Babylon' ... I haven't got to the end but I think that the God of Israel totally smashed Marduk.

That book was equidistant with Day by Day with John Calvin but that was big long convoluted sentence I couldn't be bothered typing...

Oh dear, The nearest volume to me is the tract "2 ways to live" which doesn't have 56 pages.

The second nearest is a Toshiba laptop User's Manual, which does have 56 pages, but no page 56 - the pages are numbered 1-1, 1-2, etc.

3rd nearest? Well, it says "So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness to be felt."
