Perhaps I missed something

But if someone asks, can the answer be 'no'?

And if someone says 'Because you must', can the answer be 'why'?

I've always taken the view that you give your answer and you deal with the consequences, for better or for worse.

"Because you must" or "Because I said so", when it is not parents saying it, is a major cause of frustration for me. Give me reasons please.

It depends which side of the question you're on.
