Yep, Linux is the poor man's Mac. If we were not designers, and I didn't have the ability to right-off our computer expenses against the business, I'd be a loyal Linux user all the way.
I hope that Open Source continues to improve to give Quark, Adobe, and even Mac a run for their money in decades to come. But for now... it's back to those Quark tutorials for me.

I have a Intel Pentium 2.6 PC, but it runs Kubuntu Linux.
