Costello's staying

I still reckon he is, anyway. Tony Abbott talks it up.

I didn't read what Abbott said, but it's obvious why he wants Costello to stay. They both belong to the Yesterday's Man faction, the John Howard clone brigade, and don't want Malcolm Turnbull to come to power, which he will as soon as Costello goes. If Costello stays, it will be only as a favour to his old buddies like Abbott (and hey, how could you break up a team with those names??), and not to challenge for the leadership. But I could be wrong.

To be honest, the whole thing is about as interesting as watching paint dry. The only thing going for it is that it's more interesting than anything Kevin has been doing or saying lately, which isn't much.

Actually, since I am an artist, watching paint dry can be quite exciting! So I need to change that simile. The Liberal Party antics are about as interesting as... well, something not very interesting.
