Grace alone

How kind God is to keep providing reminders of his grace in Jesus, in the preaching of his word. The weekend past was wonderful, and Richard Coekin at MKC (Men's Katoomba Christian Convention) gave a transparent and powerful reminder that Jesus' death on the cross was a death in our place. Through Jesus we've been saved from death and hell. How can our life be anything other than a life of gratitude, even in the deepest depths of suffering?

Tonight I am thanking God for loving us and rescuing us. Glory to God the Heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thanks to God for many good friends who organize Katoomba Conventions and work to see that the Bible is faithfully taught there.

Hi Gordon,

Grace alone - absolutely!!

Guess you won't remember me, but our paths crossed at St Jude's in 1993 when I was in Melbourne on a study exchange (at Vic Uni) from the UK.

Must search for some photos - you may feature on some from an AFES conference I went to!

Loads has happened since then, and I'm now working for World Vision as their Management Development Manager here in the UK.

One of the reasons for writing is that I'm about to start using your Romans study material for a small group staff "Devotions" - first of which is tomorrow (Monday 18 Feb) lunchtime.

Interested to read your Wikipedia entry and some of the material on your blog. Keep up the great work!

Would be lovely to hear form you.

Please do say "Hi" to Fiona too.

Yours,

Bob Chambers
