    Steve, it's just my Bible reading method.

    Observation...what's in the text?

    Reflection...What was I expecting? What surprises me?

    Interpretation...what's it mean?

    Correlation...What do other parts of the Bible say on this subject?

    Then a bit of thinking time until finally...

    Application...now what?
